BTS Members Complete Military Service: The Road to Reunion Begins

The wait is finally over for millions of ARMYs worldwide—BTS members have completed their mandatory military service, paving the way for one of the most anticipated comebacks in K-pop history. As of June 2025, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook have all been officially discharged, joining Jin and J-Hope, who finished their service last year. Suga, currently serving as a social service agent, is set to complete his duty later this month.

  • Jin: Discharged in June 2024
  • J-Hope: Discharged in October 2024
  • RM (Kim Namjoon): Discharged June 10, 2025
  • V (Kim Taehyung): Discharged June 10, 2025
  • Jimin (Park Jimin): Discharged June 11, 2025
  • Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook): Discharged June 11, 2025
  • Suga (Min Yoongi): Expected discharge June 21, 2025


Fans Celebrate BTS’s Return


The discharge of the final members was met with massive celebrations both online and offline. Thousands of fans gathered near military bases, waving banners and sharing emotional moments as their favorite idols returned to civilian life. Many fans traveled from around the world, highlighting BTS’s global influence and the deep connection between the group and their supporters.

Jimin expressed his gratitude:

Jungkook added:

With all members completing their service by the end of June, BTS is expected to reunite and return to group activities later in 2025. The group’s agency, HYBE, has confirmed plans for a comeback, which is anticipated to have a major impact on global music charts, streaming platforms, and live performances. Fans can look forward to new music, concerts, and special events as BTS marks a new chapter in their legendary career.
